Gratitude Dish Towel
This is as close as I get to a seasonal towel. Across the top of the towel it says, 30 Days of Gratitude. Each day has a prompt for you to think about: a book you cherish, a gift you value, a place that brings you peace, a memory that makes you smile, etc.
I try to spend a few moments each day on things I am grateful for. It is supposed to lessen anxiety. I find that it puts me in a much better frame of mind. As an exercise, when I'm cooking with someone, I ask them about the day's topic on the Gratitude dish towel. I learn things about family I had not known before. I'm grateful for that, too.
I've painted the leaves in a lovely sage green and avocado green. The little berries are bright red.
As with anything that's handmade, there is bound to be some variance with each towel. I promise you that every towel I send out will be just as lovely as the one photographed.
I use professional quality dye so that they are soft and absorbent—the hallmark of all 100% cotton flour sack dishtowels. What you’re getting is use-able art.
It is important to use them, though. They can take it without fading. They can be the workhorse of your kitchen.
