2025 Calendar Dish Towel
One day last October two owls came to visit my yard. The Scrub Jays were putting up a huge ruckus, so I went out to see what the problem was. It was a Screech Owl just outside the back door. I got to get close enough to take a photo and positively identify it with the Seek app. Then, later in the same afternoon a huge Great Horned Owl perched in the pine tree outside of the kitchen window. Fall is the time they claim territories. I'm really hoping I get to see them from time to time throughout this winter.
I put them on this calendar because it's my good fortune to hear them in the nighttime where I live. They are one of my favorite things.
